About Vanessa

Vanessa is a dynamic force rooted in culture, community, and conscious living. As President of C.A.L.L.E. de Arizona, she produces two of the Valley’s most celebrated mariachi and folklórico festivals, showcasing international and local talent while promoting youth leadership and cultural pride. She also leads Ballet Folklorico Quetzalli-AZ, the nonprofit she founded to preserve tradition, build confidence, and inspire connection through the vibrant art of Mexican folkloric dance.

For more than 17 years, Vanessa has devoted her passion and expertise as the Executive & Artistic Director of Ballet Folklorico Quetzalli-AZ, the nonprofit she founded. Under her leadership, the company has grown into a celebrated community institution, offering dancers of all ages a platform to learn, perform, and embrace the richness of Mexican heritage. Through choreography, mentorship, and cultural education, she has helped hundreds of students build confidence, discipline, and a deep sense of pride in their roots.

As President of C.A.L.L.E. de Arizona, Vanessa produces and directs two of the Valley’s most anticipated mariachi and folklórico festivals each year. More than vibrant cultural showcases, these events serve a greater purpose raising funds to provide scholarships for local students, which are proudly awarded during the festivals themselves. Through her vision and dedication, the festivals not only celebrate world-class artistry and cultural pride, but also empower the next generation with opportunities to pursue their educational dreams.
